Usher In A New Era of Ownership
In April 2021, RWT entered a new chapter when the Kolkmeyer family, along with acting Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Chris Van Meerhaeghe, acquired the business outright and kept the name RWT. Led by Glen Kolkmeyer, who serves as Chairman of the Board, alongside his son Eric Kolkmeyer, CEO and President of RWT, and Chris, our COO, the family brought with them a legacy of dedication, years of transportation experience, and a driven desire to promote excellence.
The Kolkmeyer’s have deep roots in the transportation industry, also managing ETS, a sister company to RWT with a transportation history spanning nearly seven decades that dates back to 1955. This family ran business along with their experience and leadership running RWT have helped to continue its tradition of excellence, while also driving innovation, safety, and growth.
The acquisition of RWT was not just about taking on a successful business but about continuing the legacy of a family-run operation. Glen has always been passionate about giving back to the community. Under his leadership, RWT has become involved in various non-profit organizations including overseas mission trips and community involvement, further cementing its role as a company that cares deeply about the people it serves and the team it employs.
