As 2025 comes to a close and we look ahead to a new year, it is an appropriate time to reflect on where Robertson Williams Transport (RWT) has been and, more importantly, where we are going. This past year challenged us, strengthened us, and ultimately positioned RWT for continued growth in 2026 and beyond.
From operational improvements and safety achievements to team development and organic customer growth, 2025 was a year defined by accountability, collaboration, and progress.
What Stood Out Most in 2025
One of the most meaningful accomplishments in 2025 was the continued growth and maturity of our team. We promoted several individuals into higher management roles, and they stepped up with ownership, leadership, and pride in their responsibilities. Watching our people grow into their roles and thrive was a defining success of the year.
Equally important was the deepening of our customer relationships. We made a deliberate effort to spend more time meeting with customers in person, listening to their needs, and strengthening partnerships. That commitment to face-to-face communication will continue moving forward.
Owning Challenges and Improving Together
Like any growing organization, we faced challenges. Early in the year, we experienced some operational hiccups, including some cross-contamination issues. What mattered most was how our team responded. It became an all-hands-on-deck moment and our people took ownership. We collaborated across departments and implemented processes that stopped errors to strengthen our safeguards.
We couldn’t be more proud of our team, who responded to adversity with accountability and teamwork.
Operational Growth and Measurable Results
2025 delivered strong results for RWT, with revenue increasing by 24%. This growth was driven by a combination of organic expansion with existing customers and the acquisition of Transport Delivery Service (TDS), a respected family-owned business acquired in January 2025. Together, these gains reflect a continued focus on customer experience, operational reliability, and trust built through long-standing partnerships.
Our safety department also reached an important milestone, maintaining safety performance above 90%, reinforcing RWT’s ongoing commitment to protecting our people, our customers, and the communities we serve.
Investing in People, Training, and Retention
In 2025, we formally established a dedicated recruiting department and revamped our orientation and driver training programs. These improvements focused on stronger maintenance practices, enhanced safety education, and long-term driver retention. These investments are already paying dividends and will continue to be a cornerstone of our strategy.
Expanding the RWT Footprint
In 2025, RWT expanded operations in Joplin, Missouri, St. Louis, and Northeast Missouri, extending our service capabilities while maintaining the same standards our customers expect.
RWT also opened a new full-service truck and tanker repair facility in Milan, Illinois that provides heavy-duty service, inspections and parking in one central location near the Quad Cities. Read more…
Looking ahead to 2026, we are also increasing focus on hauling Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), Jet Fuel, and Aviation Gas, strengthening our ability to support customers across specialized fuel markets.
Focus for 2026
As we enter the new year, our priorities are clear: continue growing stronger as a team, improve internal communication, better leverage our technology, and elevate customer service across every touchpoint. Growth is important but sustainable growth built on people, process, and performance matters most.
A Message of Thanks
As Chris Van Meerhaeghe, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for RWT, shared in reflecting on the year, none of this progress happens without the dedication of our employees and the trust of our customers.
Chris says, “Our drivers and team members put in long hours, work through all types of weather, and consistently go above and beyond to serve our customers and their customers. That commitment does not go unnoticed. We are grateful for the loyalty, professionalism, and heart our people bring every day and for the customers and partners who place their trust in the RWT family.”
As we look ahead, we do so with confidence, gratitude, and excitement for what we can accomplish together in 2026.
